about

"I think right now, Ebb, Flow is the most important song in our back catalogue. I wrote this song about 2 years ago, but right now has the most contextual accuracy. The idea behind the lyrics originally stemmed from the fact that, even though we're only a small band, with a small fanbase, we have been lucky and privileged enough, that our music has helped people through bad spells. We've always left ourselves open, been very clear that the songs are mainly about our mental health and individually, have each spoken about our struggles with mental health. This song was written for everyone. Whether or not they listen to us, that finds their escape through creative means, not just music, but art, photography, writing, anything. Without getting too political, we as a generation, and as a career field, have been trodden on and overlooked for so long. Going through this pandemic currently, I think the words speak more pertinent then ever. When things got bad, people turned to music, to art, to videos. Remember that."

lyrics

Is it lost on your mind love,
Or don't you quite understand us,
All of our minds here are messed up,
From the decisions you've made,
And in the dark, I hear voices,
Of the people you've let die,
And you still say you care for them,
Another day, another lie.

Is that how we're supposed to look?
And is that how we're supposed to feel?
What Is wrong with being messed up,
When you help make us ill?
Is that what we're supposed to want,
Is that what you think makes us tick?
Putting pressure on so much,
In the end, they're still kids.

Is there a method to my madness? x3

Tell me how, tell me how we're meant to live,
Tell me how, tell me how we're meant to love,
Knowing that you teach this way, knowing that we're never enough. x4

We're never enough. Were never enough, We're never enough.
