"This song, although posed as though a conversation between one's self and a significant other, it's more a conversation with myself. I tend to use the excuse ''at least I tried'' quite a lot, but in hindsight, rarely believe I've actually made much of an effort. Its something I beat myself up about tirelessly, and the bridge being worded the way it is, poses the question I ask myself occasionally: ''if I try my best to feel something, maybe I'll feel it too.'' this has been a constant in my life."

lyrics
Sick of these lies, I'm sick of holding on.
Then my blood boils red in the thick of love and we move on,
Im sick of these tries, sick of bickering fighting,
Then your eyes roll back and your lips you bite,
And my mind goes black out of spite and I know,
I don't need it.
(chorus)
Don't you say, don't you say you've won,
Cause you seem to think twice,
Don't you say, don't you say you need love,
Well, I need you.
I'm sick of these nights, I'm sick of scraping by,
I'm sick of taking all the blame so we can just see through the end of a fight,
But I'm not sick of your voice, sick of your eyes,
I need someone that I can rely on
And I, am a little scared of her.
I don't need it
(Chorus)
Don't you say, don't you say you try,
Cause every time ill just appeal it,
If I tried would you try to feel, so I can feel it too,
Don't you say, don't you say you might,
I guess that time will just reveal it,
If I tried, would you try to feel? so I can feel it too.
